Hi! My name is Virag Murphy, and I’m a recent graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a bachelors degree in Public Health Studies, with a focus area in Population, Family, and Reproductive Health. I’ve volunteered over 200 hours in Child Life at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center, where I supported pediatric patients ranging from infants to adolescents through play, distraction techniques, and emotional support. I truly enjoy working with children and take pride in creating a warm, engaging, and comforting environment for them. I also worked as a babysitter for 3 years during high school, caring for children of various ages during summers and school breaks. In addition, I worked as a swim instructor at Goldfish Swim School, where I taught children ages 3 to 12 how to swim and stay safe in the water. I’m currently pursuing my medical assistant certification and preparing to apply to medical school.
