Hi! My name is Angie Aranda, and I’d love to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my experience. 😊 I live in the Nob Hill/Downtown Portland area and am currently working for a microgreens business, but I’m looking for a new opportunity to return to nannying, which is something I truly love. I have 3 years of experience with one family through a nanny share. When I started, Tallulah was only 3 months old and Ford was 1½ years old. I also occasionally cared for Westley, who was 3 at the time. I became incredibly close with the children and their families, and even though I stopped working with them regularly about a year ago, we have stayed in each other’s lives. We still spend time together, and I continue to babysit for them whenever they need me. I try to be patient with big emotions while also providing consistency and healthy boundaries. I would describe myself as dependable, caring, patient, loving, and flexible. I really enjoy becoming someone both the children and parents can trust and depend on. I understand how much it means for parents to know they have someone reliable caring for their child. I also try to be as flexible as I can for the families I work with. If you occasionally need help on a weekend, for a special occasion, overtime, or a late night, I’m usually happy to help when I’m available. Angie has provided childcare for my children, ages 3.5 and 3 months, as well as for another child who aged 1.5, for the past few years. We initially only needed her one day a week, but when our needs grew, she was able to accommodate us and care for our children 2- 3 days a week. My kids are now 5 and 2 and still ask for her to babysit regularly. When she arrives, they run to the door yelling her name! Angie provides tender, patient, and loving care to our babies, cares deeply about the parents’ needs, and is an incredibly conscientious member of the household.
