Hello, im Salina! I'm 24 years old and have been babysitting since I was 14. I just moved to Denver, Co and I am looking for a new job. I have always loved to babysit growing up and as I got older many of my friends had babies and I would always gravitate towards wanting to help out and care for them. My passion caring for kids grew and I started working at a daycare as a teachers assistant! I got to work with the newborns, and worked with ages 0 to 6 years my time there and would work with and care for 14 children each day. I currently do not work there and have worked as a nanny for the last 4 years. I have acquired many skills and have built many great relationships with trusting, and loving foundations. My skill set includes feeding, changing diapers, potty training, Read more reading, playing, crafts, and learning. My non professional experience started when I was 14 and from start to now I have learned so many things to implement into my current career as a caregiver. I attended school and earned a dental assisting degree that I later decided was not the profession for me and I went back to caring for children. I am patient, loving, knowledgeable with a teaching heart as well as I have amazing experience. I understand that each child is different and each one has their own specific eating habits, sleeping patterns, wind down methods, along with parenting styles being unique, etc. I am willing to follow lead and truly become part of the family. Fortunately my experience at the daycare has provided me with training on making sure each child is cared for to the fullest and fulfilling them to the best of my ability. I have learned skills involving early childhood development, fine motor/gross motor building activities, social and emotional development and many other beneficial behaviors that helps a child learn and grow along with targeting individual needs for each child. I am cpr certified and have taken child care classes which gave me child care credit hours. I understand each child needs a loving, positive and stimulating environment to learn and grow in. This is a job I truly love doing and I would love the opportunity to find a new job in CO ensuring a safe, caring, and attentive atmosphere while helping the transition to a new caretaker be a positive experience for everyone.
