Hello! My name is Jessyca and I've been in child care my whole life. I've worked with children with disabilities for years (5 years to be exact). I've also worked with children not on the spectrum as well. I have a degree in Educational Studies with an emphasis in youth and adult development and a minor in education. I have plenty of experience with many children with ADD, ADHD, Cerebral Palsy, and learning disability such as dyslexia. I like caring for people with special needs because I relate to them better. I had a IEP when I was in school for a learning disability and ADD. I understand being looked at as just your disability and not seen as anything more, but I always tell my kids about how I graduated college when the people who wrote my IEP literally didn't think I would go to college.
