Hi! My name is Ladasia and I am currently attending Lander University. I am in my 1st year with the hopes of completing a B.S. in Elementary Education! I attended Dutch Fork High School in my hometown of Irmo, SC and went through the Teacher Cadets Program. Also in my senior year I took a few health science classes and I am very familiar with CPR skills! A little bit about me is that I am in a sorority, I love to spend time with others, and traveling in my free time. I hold myself to high standards regarding both my personal and academic life. A few words to describe me would be dependable, kind, and flexible. Working with kids has been and will continue to be my pride and joy! While I have not had paid childcare experience, I have had experience in the classroom, as well as another Read more event. My senior I did the Teacher Cadets program at my high school and was tasked with being a co-teacher to 3rd graders. There were times where they would test my nerves, but at the end of the day I still loved them regardless. We also had our good days too and I enjoy cherishing those memories. In my Junior year of high school, I volunteered for the Buddy Walk. The Buddy Walk was an event to celebrate and recognize children who had been diagnosed with down syndrome. A few things I did were set up raffle stations, supervise games, and ran food stations. At the end of the walk, everyone gathered in a huge circle while we held up pictures of each of the kids. We cheered for them as they walked through and it was the sweetest part of the day.
