My name is Amanda Rae, nanny extraordinaire and potential extension to the family! I am a terminally delightful 32-year-old New York native with a sunny disposition and a can-do attitude. I am heart centered, from a very large Puerto Rican family and I was raised by my mother who is in Human Resources and Project Management. I offer over ten years of paid experience providing excellent compassionate care, tutoring/home schooling and house management (cooking, meal prepping, cleaning and organizing). I am an enthusiastic, goal-oriented, always dependable, adaptable, responsible and resourceful Jill of many trades in the business of solutions. As a previous care provider for the state of Arizona for children with special needs I am able to provide ABA respite and habilitation (physical therapy and learning-based care). I am also currently completing my Masters in speech and hearing science with Read more a minor in psychology, and I have my associate in early childhood development. I am a highly organized, quick-learning, multitasking whiz who believes in more engaging care by encouraging the use of education-based games and also the practice of skill-shaping activities, reading, arts & crafts, practice of music and/or sports. I am also a holistic nutritionist and budding culinary artist. I have an elevated attention to details and I am fueled by my nature to nurture and teach. I recently stepped down as program director for a school age before-and-after school program at a local elementary school (20+ children K-6). In the past I have worked as a state care provider for children with special needs in which I gained even more insight, as well as, experience as a behavioral therapist during my time as administrative coordinator at the Center for Autism and Related Disorders. And in my position as administrative assistant of academics at a local public charter school I was gifted the opportunity to stand in as substitute teacher for a variety of subjects.
