Hi families! My name is Shahara. I am offering childcare and household services, and am comfortable caring for pets. I absolutely love working with kids! I am a firm believer that our youth are not only the future; they are the present. Kids are a fascinating group of little people with so much knowledge and skill sets that make them just as a capable as us to change the world today--they just need adults who believe in them and their interests. This is what brought me to becoming a teacher. I've been a middle school science teacher for the past six years, supporting students in their academic and social development and helping them to navigate the world of science. I have my teacher certification in Elementary Education (K-6) and can provide tutoring in multiple subject areas if needed. We hired Shahara to provided childcare for a large party with multiple families that we hosted. She was positive, flexible, helpful and wonderful with kids! There was a last minute change, and we were very thankful that Shahara followed through with helping us on such short notice. We were grateful for her teaching experience with multiple age groups, and can-do attitude when asked to assist with a few things at the party outside of childcare duties. We felt confident in her attentiveness and engagement with the children who had so much fun playing games with her. We would happily hire her again!
