My name is Chevon Derrick , I am 30 years of age and I had the wonderful pleasure of being a nanny in New York for the last 8 years. In march of 2015 I started taking care of two wonderful girls ages 10 and 11 picking them up from school and taking them to dance lessons, tutouring lessons also helping them with their homework and school projects. I was also fortunate to start working with two more girls ages 7 and 9 in October of that same year. I am graduate of CUNY Kingsborough and plan on going back to school for a degree in nutrition. I am currently looking for a full time or live in position. A little bit of my history: I was a part time nanny for a 5 year old toddler for 1 year and absolutely loved the experience. I've worked at large centers/after Read more school programs for children such as "friends for crown heights" located in Brooklyn New York. My responsibilites included: assisting the teachers and program directors with the children, helping with school work, preparing the kids for the next grade level with reading and writing skills that are required of them to know, I also looked after large groups of kids on school trips and in parks. I've also worked in daycares located in my neighborhood, looking after children ages 2yrs and up, taking them out to play in the city playgrounds, cooking for them on occasions also helping with summer vacation homework/summer reading list. Additionally, I come from a large family with many younger cousins in which I've looked after and babysat , although I am an only child having them around taught me a lot about children and why I love caring for them so much , I love spending time with them and watching them grow up. Working with children of all ages is something I love and I would love to assist your family.
