Meet Alexis

For the past 6 years I have dedicated my time and efforts to building the skills necessary to create a fun and safe environment for each child under my care. I see each hour, tutoring lesson, meal or bed time routine as a chance to use my creativity to positively impact both the children and their families. What started as taking care of two infants for a family friend quickly became a newfound passion in using my love of learning, not relying on screen time, my intentional communication, and quick problem solving abilities. I have worked with a variety of age groups over the years, the last three with a focus on elementary ages with an afterschool and summer program. Down time is spent keeping up with my Certified Nursing Aide credentials as to not lose that aspect of my experience/education and searching for new ways to strengthen the skills Read more currently equipped as well as constantly developing new ones. Along with my college education pursuing a Nursing degree with a focus on pediatric care, I am taking lessons in Spanish and American Sign Language to provide more accessible care.
