Why do I love being a sitter? I truly love being a sitter because I enjoy being part of a child’s growth and everyday discoveries. I’m currently in school working toward my bachelor’s degree in social work, and I have two children of my own, so supporting kids comes naturally to me. Helping children feel safe, seen, and encouraged is something I’m passionate about, and I love creating a positive environment where they can learn, play, and express themselves. What experience do I have? I’ve been caring for children since I was 18, both as a parent and in professional settings. I’ve worked at the School for the Deaf and Blind, in Montessori daycares, and in residential programs supporting kids and young adults with mental health needs and autism. I also have experience with ABA therapy, which has helped me understand behavior, communication, and emotional regulation. Skills and training: I Read more currently hold an Arizona fingerprint clearance card, and I am CPR and First Aid certified (renewing for Arizona since my recent move). My skill set includes everything from basic childcare to supporting children with special needs what I call “extra super powers.” I’m confident, patient, and trained to meet kids exactly where they’re at.
