Hello! My name is Elim and I am 18 years old and currently taking a gap year before my freshman year of college starts in the fall. I’ve always loved and enjoyed working with kids ever middle school. As I grew older I continued to volunteer for child care jobs and eventually began to earn some money through these opportunities. I have definitively collected tons of experience throughout the years, and learned many lessons. I also have a little brother who is 7 years younger than me, and I have definitely learned a lot about child development and the mental and physical changes that come with it. I would say the thing that sets me apart from other sitters is my emotional awareness and ability to empathize with children of all ages. I’m very passionate about mental health and want to go into psychology at college, and eventually become a Read more therapist/social worker. I believe I am good at making the most out of situations, and am a very creative person. Whether it’s coming up with an engaging activity to do for fun, or using different approaches to solve conflicts, I believe thinking out of the box is beneficial for me and the child I’m caring for. Overall I just love working with children of all ages and personalities, and I take every opportunity as a chance to grow myself, and spread warmth and joy to others.
