I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and being someone they feel safe and comfortable around. It’s so rewarding to watch their personalities shine and to be part of their little milestones, whether that’s learning something new, finishing homework, or just having a fun afternoon. I also love knowing that I’m giving parents peace of mind while they’re away. Being trusted with someone’s child is a big responsibility, and I don’t take that lightly. I have experience caring for children of different ages, from younger kids who need more hands-on attention to older kids who need help with homework, routines, and structure. I’ve helped with things like preparing meals, bedtime routines, school pick-up and drop-off, and planning fun activities to keep kids engaged. I have worked with lost of other families out side of that if it was for a full-time summer job, date night, or just a few times. I also worked at YMCA Camp High Harbour as a counselor working with kids 24/7 and keeping them safe while also having fun. I have strong communication skills and patience, which I think are two of the most important qualities in a sitter. I’m responsible, dependable, and good at handling unexpected situations calmly.
