I am a 26 year old, soon to be graduating, college student at UCSC, and am looking for babysitting and nannying positions for this Spring, and hopefully into the next year. I am a reliable, experienced, patient, creative, and fun-loving individual who is good at setting boundaries and deeply passionate about working with children. Before going back to school to finish my bachelors in psychology, I worked as a teacher and childcare program worker for four years at Peninsula School in Menlo Park. Besides working as a teacher, and as a school-run childcare specialist, I have also worked as a babysitter since I was 14 years old. As a babysitter I have helped families by providing coverage on date nights, taking kids on outings, doing pick up and drop off at extracurriculars, supporting both structured and independent play, and doing basic cleaning and organizing, as well as cooking nutritious meals. Outside of my past experiences with working with kids, I am a dedicated fourth year Psychology student, and have taken many courses such as Intro to Developmental Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, Social Psychology, and Human Development as a Cultural Process. All of these classes have helped me to better understand how to communicate with children, and how to better understand their social-emotional development, needs, and struggles.
