Hello there, Ever since I was a young teenager I knew that I wanted to work alongside young children. In 2019 I finished my BA in Educational Studies with the intent of working with youth longterm. While in school I began teaching at a Reggio inspired program where students learn through play and since 2018 I have worked as an assistant and as a lead teacher. Although I have loved being a preschool teacher these past 4 years, I am ready for a change of pace and would love the chance to work alongside one family. Other experiences I have had working with children include: -babysitting for several different families since the age of 13 -I have taught as a camp counselor at Outdoor School on three separate occasions -I student taught in a preschool for two years and one year in a first-grade classroom. I am first aid and Read more CPR certified and I have a Food Handlers card. Before preschool teaching, I had worked in the food industry for over 7 years so I am familiar working with food inside and outside of my own home. Most of my college education has revolved around youth and how to care for them in a way that caters to their own personal needs. I have experience dog sitting as well as owning my own share of animals, so animals are definitely okay by me! In my free time, I love spending time with my small family that consists of my boyfriend and our pets. I also love working on arts and crafts. My current craft of choice is candle making! I am the art teacher at my preschool, so I love introducing art to children! Working alongside youth is absolutely my passion and I would love to meet yours.
