I became a babysitter unexpectedly one day when my high school friend needed someone to fill in for her babysitting job. Babysitting was not a job I expected to adore as much as I do now. I'm the youngest in my family so I had little experience with younger kids. However, my experience babysitting these kids made me fall in love with caring for young children. I've been babysitting a boy (11) and a girl (6) for 3 years. My given responsibilities while taking care of them were so cook dinner, do arts and crafts with them, and execute their bedtime routine. I also took it upon myself, while the kids were asleep, to clean up any messes that were there when I arrived just to help out the family. I don't have any certifications for First AID or CPR but my college has given presentations and taught us (the Read more students) how to do both maneuvers (unfortunately without the official certifications).
