Hello! My name is Emily, I am a 21 year old student about to graduate from Wheaton College in May. I have worked professionally in childcare for over two years now and thoroughly enjoy working with children. My primary nanny family has a daughter that I cared for full-time from age 6 months to 2 years old. Outside of this, I have a plethora of experience taking care of children of all ages within my family, as I have four siblings who are significantly younger than me (the littlest is currently just 7). Some of my favorite things to do with kids are arts and crafts and outdoor play! I have also been working as a reading tutor for the last year for fourth and fifth grade students, so I am very comfortable providing instruction and facilitating help with homework. I am interested in teaching as a future career, and Read more have done some training in early literacy education. Besides this, I am comfortable and experienced in most other aspects of childcare, including (but not limited to): toilet-training, feeding, putting to sleep, bathing, and facilitating age-appropriate play and activities. I am also more than comfortable with light housework as well as cooking if that is necessary. In addition, I am actively learning Spanish and have been self-teaching for about a year. I have a high understanding but still need some work on my speaking skills! I am seeking a full-time nanny position to begin when I graduate in May, ideally in the Providence RI area or surrounding.
