Hi! My name is Katie 🙂 I have a true passion for working with children and supporting their growth—both academically and emotionally. I am currently returning to Chattahoochee College to finish my bachelor’s degree in psychology, with the goal of pursuing a counseling degree. My experience includes: - Tutoring children ages 10–17 at accredited schools, helping them succeed in their studies and build confidence. - Volunteering with programs supporting children, creating a safe, fun, and inclusive environment through play and creative activities. - Serving as a member of daycare teams, caring for and engaging with children of all ages. - Growing up in a family of nine children—so I’m very familiar with the art of organized chaos! 😂 Additional background: I have also worked for a care company providing medical care and assistance to the elderly, which helped me develop patience, empathy, and strong attention to detail. My professional experience Read more also includes seven years as a server at Cracker Barrel and Longhorn Steakhouse, two years as a receptionist and chiropractic assistant at a family chiropractic office, and a year as a front desk receptionist at a resort. I left my most recent position to care for my elderly father before he transitioned into assisted living. With my free time, I aspire to support busy families and try a new path in childcare, where I can put my skills and compassion to work. A few more things about me: - I’ve completed an Introduction to Childcare course at Chattahoochee College and am currently pursuing my CPR/First Aid certification (expected completion: 07/15/25). - I’m skilled in cooking healthy meals, keeping spaces clean and organized, and I’m always happy to help with homework and light housekeeping. - My mindset is to always leave a place better than I found it. I work hard, believe in the work I do, and bring a positive attitude everywhere I go. I am available most weekdays (except for a class between 2–3 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and am seeking positions paying $17/hr or more.
