Meet Madison

I am currently a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison earning my Masters of Social Work. I am from Superior, Wisconsin, but have lived in Madison for around four years now and love being a part of the community here!     My experience with children is diverse. Informally, I've spent a great deal of time helping raise my sister, who is nine years younger than me, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. I have been babysitting/nannying for children of all ages since I was around thirteen years old. My longest job with a family was for two years for three children under four, and that ended because I moved to Madison. My most recent experience was babysitting my one-year-old nephew over this past summer. Formally, I've worked with children across a wide age range. I provided child care for women who attended support groups for domestic violence for Read more about a year, and the children were anywhere from one month old to fifteen years old. I also worked at the UW-Madison Child Development Lab in the preschool room from 2023-2024, primarily with 3-5-year-olds, but we also spent time with the younger kiddos. I was previously CPR certified, but have not renewed since I worked at the Child Development Lab. I received my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Studies this past May, and this included many child development courses.
