I am a grandmother-want-to-be and just love kids. I have my own grown son and currently work at a church nursery twice a week. In addition, I am caring for a 15 mo. old girl; however, this assignment ends at the end of February. Both would provide excellent references. I have a very nurturing nature and an innate ability to care for children. I believe that my wealth of life experience contributes to my calm approach to child care. I love to play with the children and come up with creative games that we both enjoy. Communication between the parents and myself is integral in creating a successful relationship. I am also a part-time pet sitter and my clients would attest to my dependability and trustworthiness. I am a strong believer in routines. It is important for both the child and the sitter to have a consistent pattern during their Read more time together. Of course, there can always be variations, but routines are key. I quit my corporate career to do something that I really enjoy and childcare and pet sitting have both been very rewarding. I have taken a babysitting course as well as Red Cross's Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course.
