Hi! My name is Alana Velez, and I’m a senior at Dow High School. I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and being a positive and caring presence in their lives. Whether it’s playing games, helping with homework, or just making them feel safe and happy, I find it really rewarding. I have experience working with children through volunteering in my church nursery every Sunday, where I help care for and engage with younger kids, normally ages 0-5. I’m also often around children since I have two younger cousins, so I’m very comfortable handling different ages and personalities.
