I am married and have three grown children, four granddaughters and one grandson. I have two sons and one daughter. My oldest son and his wife, live in Austin, TX. Austin went to Baylor and then on to Air Force as a C-17 pilot and now is a Captain with Delta Airlines. He and his wife have three girls, They attend school at Lake Travis ISD. The youngest is seven and she is autistic. My second son, attended the University of Utah because he loves to ski and the mountains. He and his wife live in Ogden, Utah. They are both respiratory therapists and are adventure junkies. He is into rock, climbing, and his wife is into mountain biking. My youngest daughter, graduated from the University of Texas as a registered dietitian and then went to culinary school to become a French pastry chef and worked at Per Se in Read more NYC and French Laundry in California. She is a senior sales representative for SolarWinds an IT security company and Kenny is the CEO with a company based in Austin. She and her husband live in Bee Cave with my youngest granddaughter, who is 2 1/2.and they recently gave birth to our first grandson earlier this month. Currently, I have been watching my youngest granddaughter since she was 12 weeks old and helping with my granddaughter who is 7 since she was born in August 2016. My daughter is on maternity leave and is not going to be returning to work so I will be available to work and looking for employment. Now that my youngest granddaughter is in preschool and my other granddaughters are in school, I have been substituting at school as a nurse and teacher. My husband and I live at Lake LBJ, and I drive to Austin every day to watch Pearl. We lived in the Washington DC area for over 25 years so the commute to Austin does not bother me I enjoy the drive. I listen to audiobooks; I love to read. I am a morning person and a night owl. I have lots of energy and run circles around people half my age. Exercising and staying fit is important to me so I like to make time in my day to get an outdoor walk-in as well as floor Pilates or time on a treadmill or bike. I love to take my granddaughter for walks in her stroller and have been doing this since she was born. On Sundays, my husband and I teach Sunday school at our church in the children’s program. Over the years, I have held many roles. While living in Rockville, MD I traveled to NYC once a week to meet with publishers as I wrote articles for nursing publications. In 2007, I started a non-profit with four other nursing colleagues and grew it from five members to over 1500. As the Executive Director, I planned all our annual conferences across the US which included exhibits, and speakers with accredited continuing education credits for nurses. I have experience in juggling multiple schedules and making appointments and travel accommodations. I am extremely comfortable with managing households, contractors, and other employees, light house cleaning, and tidying up as needed. I can plan healthy meals, as well as, grocery shop, shopping, run errands, take kids to school, attend events, and pick up last-minute items needed for projects. Additionally, since I am a nurse, I can also care for your child if they are ill. I have years of experience managing a busy household as well as caring for and educating children. In addition to being a nurse, I also have a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. When I was a teenager, I was a Red Cross lifeguard and I love to swim and participate in water activities. I am very comfortable with children in a pool, lake, river, ocean, or on a boat. I can water and snow ski and love to play with children outside. I love cats and dogs. I love to play board games, color, and do activities with children. If needed and desired, I can travel with the family. I have a passport and am willing to travel as needed.
