Hi! My name is Alyssa M, and I'm a 19-year-old college student with a true love for working with children. I'm currently studying at STLCC to earn my associate degree and become a registered nurse. I'm the third of four, so I grew up in a busy, kid-filled environment that helped shape my patience, sense of responsibility, and love for caregiving. Over the years, l've gained professional experience as a Kids Academy Instructor and Summer Camp Counselor at Life Time Fitness for two years, and a swim instructor at Parkway Swim School. I also worked for three years as a lifeguard at the North Pointe Aquatic Center. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and comfortable with children of all ages, including infants. Currently, I work occasionally at Nothing Bundt Cakes as a froster, but I can adjust my schedule to prioritize babysitting. I have my own car, a clean driving Read more record (with one minor accident in the past), and I'm very comfortable with pets. With the kids I care for, I love planning fun and creative activities like crafts, obstacle courses, nature walks, baking simple treats, and storytime with silly voices. I also enjoy helping with learning through games, educational play, and even swim practice if you have a pool! What I love most about this job is seeing kids light up when they're having fun, learning something new, or just feeling safe and supported. It's incredibly rewarding to be a part of their growth.
