Hello! My name is Lily Queen. I love being around children! They give me so much joy! I enjoy playing with them, getting to know them, caring for them, and empowering them. I believe every child should be in a loving, stimulating environment, where they can develop trust for their caretakers and develop confidence in themselves. I am a hopeful, light-hearted person, but I am also responsible, ensuring security and safety. I am a third-year student at Messiah University, studying Human Development and Family Science with minors in Pre-Counseling and Therapy and French. Recently, I have taken a Child Development class and Parenting class. I have an Adult, Child, and Baby First Aid, CPR & AED certificate from American Red Cross. My skills include patience, empathy, active listening, responsibility, and problem-solving. At my church, I have served with elementary children in Kid ministry, interacting with them by playing games and Read more reading bible stories. Recently, I went to Kenya on a service trip, caring for disabled children among a variety of ages (toddler to youth) at a rehabilitation center for a few weeks. My service trip was conducted through One Collective, a non-profit agency, which required a federal background check to serve. At the center, I helped the children do crafts & other activities, facilitated physical therapy, and fed children. Additionally, I have volunteered with children throughout the years, coming into my father's elementary classes and being a mentor for an elementary student through the Buddy program.
