My name is Michelle. I am 27 years old. I have a great deal of experience working with children. I grew up working in my church's nursery, that was really what sparked my interest with children (infants and toddlers specifically). I previously worked for a family which I met on this site, as a babysitter for about 6 months until I received my Masters in Social Work May 2019 and gave birth to my beautiful baby girl in the same month. Before my babysitting job, I worked at the UNC Wellness Center in Chapel Hill as a nursery attendant. I have networked with a lot of parents at the wellness center, where I was able to connect with them and their children. I have been given numerous babysitting opportunities and continue to foster those relationships. I also received my CPR certification. I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte Read more and received a Bachelor's in Sociology, with a minor in Child and Family Development. I recently graduated from North Carolina Central University in Durham, where I received my Masters in Social Work. While working on my Masters, I was allowed to intern for Durham Head Start where I worked as a behavior specialist for students ages 0-5. I genuinely love kids and am passionate about child development. I am very careful and responsible, with a very mellow and patient temperament. I will always make sure your child/children are comfortable and happy. I've had a lot more to learn now that I am a new mom so I most definitely have nurturing and motherly instincts.
