Meet Darlene

  • Speaks English

Hi there! I’m Darlene but the kiddos call me DD. I absolutely adore children and helping them develop. I have been a sitter over 12 years and a nanny for 4 years. I have taught early childhood education and I am a substitute teacher occasionally. Kids keep me young and I absolutely enjoy being a comfort zone where kids can truly be kids at any age! I no longer drive but I do have a license. I enjoy meal prepping and party decorating and planning as well! I am a DePaul University alumni and I have worked in the medical field as well. I am a well rounded knowledgeable Chicagoan and I hope to help you make memories with your family soon! P.S. I have personal experience being the mommy of a magnificent 6 year old!

My children barely spoke English before DD came into our lives. She is so energetic and sweet our kids love her. Now as teenagers who no longer need’s a sitter they still ask for her if my husband and I decide to step out or go away on vacation. Having her around doing the teenage phase has been more impactful than we could have imagined.

Darlene made the first few months postpartum seamless for my husband and I for all 3 kids. I never have to ask she is always 10 steps ahead. She is flexible and empathetic and has built a great relationship with our family. Though our children are older now and we don’t require assistance as often she is and will always be our go to person for childcare.

My family loves DD!! She is always punctual and extremely hands on. Her creativity has saved us many times being that we are a family of 8. She is dependable and trustworthy worthy with our family, home, and vehicles. A blessing she is indeed.
