I highly recommend our wonderful babysitter, Mireya. She has been an integral part of our family for over a year, caring for our two children (aged 3 and 5). While we are saddened that our time with her is coming to an end, we are excited for the next family that gets to have her in their lives. Here are a few important points we want to share about our experience with her: 1. Mireya has exceptional patience - caring for a toddler and a preschooler requires a calm demeanor, and Mireya has it in spades. She handles the high energy and big emotions of these ages with grace and steady kindness. 2. Mireya never just "watches" the kids; she engages them. She constantly comes up with fresh, creative ideas to keep them entertained, from imaginative play to hands-on activities that keep them away from screens, which was something important to us to limit. 3. She has a warm, calm personality that made our children AND US feel comfortable from day one. She truly feels like a member of the family. 4. My wife’s schedule has often been unpredictable and Mireya has been incredibly understanding and flexible. She is dependable, punctual, and easy to communicate with regarding logistics. The only reason we are parting ways is because of a career change in our household that allows my wife to stay home full-time with the children. If our circumstances hadn't changed, we would keep her for as long as possible. Mireya is a rare find! She brought so much peace of mind to us as parents and joy to our children. Any family would be incredibly lucky to have her. We will miss her dearly and are happy to provide a verbal reference if needed.
