Hi there! I’m looking to start a new term with a family come June 13th! A little about me - I’m 26 years old, grew up in the heart of Phoenix and have been around kids for most of my upbringing. I was 14 when I started taking care of my sister, I’ve taken a huge part in raising her and her overall development. She’s now 12 in July & it’s crazy to see how time flies! My family is very close knit & will help anyone at the drop of a hat. My selflessness is definitely a reflection of some of the most important people in my life and I’m proud of the person I am because of them! I knew that I had a passion to work with kids after being around my cousins and siblings growing up. In high school I decided to take part in the Read more COOP preschool program where I created well thought out lesson plans that allowed the kids to use their fine motor skills, gave them an opportunity to be more creative and hands on, and incorporated sensory activities. I also encouraged children to be understanding of others, show good manners and instructed in other social development behaviors. During this time, it was a lot of fun to be apart of different age groups and personalities and watch them evolve through the year! After I graduated, I got a job through Fostering Hope and was a habilitation and respite provider for an 8 year old with epilepsy! Where I observed and monitored my client to identify development strengths and target areas for enrichment activities. I also focused on habilitation goals to improve day to day to day functions. The last 4 years I’ve been a nanny and it’s the most rewarding job I’ve had. The bonds I’ve created with families and their children is the best part about my job, my goal is to essentially become a part of the family & to be their go to person for the sake of their babies! I still keep in touch with all of my past families and will always be at their beckon call if they needed me. I’ve taken the article 9 class, I’m CPR/first aid/AED certified, I have my fingerprint clearance card & obtain a clean driving record! I’m located in Peoria but willing to travel within reason. Rates start at $20 an hour!
