Hi! My name is Abby. I may come across as serious at first, but I’m actually pretty laid-back and love having fun—at least that’s what my students tell me! A fun fact about me is that I never expected to enjoy working with kids. That changed when I started coaching and discovered how rewarding it is to help children learn new skills and build confidence. That experience inspired me to become a teacher. I’m currently a middle school math and science teacher, so I’m experienced in keeping kids engaged, motivated, and on task. One of my favorite tricks is turning everyday activities into games or friendly competitions to make learning and responsibilities more fun. I believe the best childcare is built on trust, consistency, and knowing when it’s time to be silly and when it’s time to set boundaries. I tell my students that while my job is to teach them, I choose to care about them as people too. I strive to teach, protect, encourage, and get to know each child, and I would bring that same level of care, patience, and responsibility to your family.
