I am a mature, experienced, mother of 4 grown children with current experience in childcare. I love being a sitter because I find children to be interesting & funny and enjoyable to engage with from talking, to playtime, to outdoor activities. I prefer to engage with your child and not rely on screen-time by doing arts & crafts, reading, taking a walk, going to the playground, playing games or other age appropriate activities. I'm happy to care for infants and toddlers, preschoolers and grade-schoolers, to tweens & young teens. I will come for a few hours for a date night or day-time appointment, all day for a wedding, mother's helper on a vacation, or occasional overnight care. A single child to 4 siblings works well for me alone, but I can bring a second carer if the group is larger than 4/5 or multiple families (rate increases). I have a college education, am a non-smoker, and am comfortable with pets. I know CPR and First Aid. I have reliable transportation. I have a lifetime of experience with children of all ages due to years of teenage babysitting, volunteer work in schools and community, motherhood, and a large extended family. I can prepare a meal, settle children for naps or bedtime, comfort a little one, make sure your home is not a mess when you return, and more.
