Hello! My name is Maya, and I am a compassionate, energetic, and dedicated caregiver with extensive experience working with infants, toddlers, and school-aged children. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Rust College, and I’ve built a strong background in childcare through both professional positions and hands-on roles with families. I formerly worked as an Infant & Toddler Teacher at Porter-Leath, where I supported early childhood development through structured routines, nurturing care, and age-appropriate learning activities. My experience also includes being a Teacher Assistant at Riverwood Elementary School, helping facilitate classroom instruction and providing one-on-one support to students. Also, working as a caregiver through WYNDY, a Nanny Agency, where I adapted to the needs of each family, promoted healthy habits, encouraged positive behavior, and maintained a safe, clean environment. My background in customer service has strengthened my communication, patience, multitasking, and problem-solving skills—qualities that help me build trusting relationships with both children and parents. I love creating fun, educational experiences, whether through arts and crafts, outdoor adventures, sensory play, or early learning activities. Safety is always my priority, and I take pride in helping children feel secure, supported, and confident as they grow. Outside of work, I enjoy dancing, yoga, creating social media content for my followers, watching my favorite YouTubers, and staying active through various workouts.
