I absolutely adore working with children! It took me a while to figure that out. I tried farm work, bussing tables, making lattes, but nothing clicked. It wasn't until I got a job as a swim instructor that everything fell into place. That was the first time I'd ever felt excited to go to work. Excited to see their little eyes light up right before they dove headfirst into the water. Or gently pull them out into the water, letting them get comfortable enough to float on their own. Now that I'd discovered this niche, I wanted to expand my scope. What other childcare jobs could I get? So that summer I worked at a sleep away camp. This was the first time I'd gotten the chance to work with kids older than nine, or ten and it was a blast. I worked at another camp last summer and currently I'm working as an after school provider at Clonlara. It's been an absolute pleasure.
