I am a current freshman at my local community college. I have a few years of hands-on experience caring for young children in structured and informal settings. I spent one year teaching toddlers at a local dance studio where I led weekly classes focused on working with children while guiding them through simple choreography. This role required me to keep young children engaged, manage the group with patience, and adapt to the needs of the children. Additionally, I have volunteered for two years at a local Little League snack shack. Here I interacted regularly with children while learning how to manage responsibilities in a fast paced environment and meet the needs of customers. I also have plenty of babysitting experience caring for my younger cousins. This includes preparing meals, helping with daily routines, planning fun activities to keep them entertained, and ensuring their safety. Additionally I am CPR/AED and First Read more Aid Certified. Through these roles I have developed strong communication skills, a calm and caring attitude, and the ability to meet children’s needs while ensuring they have fun and are entertained. I am open to both occasional and regular part-time babysitting opportunities. I enjoy helping with playtime, creating fun and engaging activities, helping with tasks and care, and ensuring children feel safe, happy, and supported while their parents are away. My experience working with kids has taught me many skills that I hold with me. Amongst these skills are responsibility, patience, flexibility, the importance of communication, how to keep children engaged and entertained, ensure children feel cared for and understood, how to stay calm under pressure, how to adapt to children’s needs, and much more.
