Why do you love being a sitter? I love being a sitter because caring for others comes naturally to me. Whether it's creating a calm space for a toddler’s big emotions or helping with after-school routines, I find real joy in being someone kids can feel safe and seen with. I know how much trust it takes for a parent to leave their child in someone else's hands — and I don’t take that lightly. What experience do you have? I’ve worked with children for over 10 years in both home and educational settings. I spent six years managing operations and assisting with classroom care at a licensed early learning center, where I supported infants through pre-K. I’ve also helped care for children with sensory sensitivities and different learning needs. Beyond that, I’ve provided childcare for friends, family, and neighbors — always with warmth, patience, and a focus on safety. Read more What skills and training do you have? I have experience in early childhood education, CPR/First Aid knowledge, and strong communication skills (with both little ones and grown-ups!). I'm comfortable with routines, bedtime, homework help, snack prep, and emotional regulation support. I’m also organized, calm under pressure, and always ready with a game, a story, or a listening ear.
