Aloha, My name is Kyra Ketcheson I have the opportunity to be your child’s new Physical Education teacher. My family Saige , Kade and Elias moved here in 2011 . I am a widow raising my children with a village of friends that we call our tribe. We have been blessed to be apart of this private school since we moved here . My oldest daughter Saige Ketcheson graduated from Makua Lani Christian Academy. My two boys are also interested in pursuing this journey with great inspirations. We hope to bring, joy , love , peace, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, patience, gentleness, and self control. The goal is to find a way to integrate the concept into Physical Education. This will be my challenge and my commitment to your children. To equip them with confidence and skills that will help them run this race with endurance , perseverance. Loving each other is difficult for humans when we are not family … so we will learn how to find healthy ways to balance learn about our bodies and how they function. We will be reaching outside our comfort zones. We will learn what motivates us to keep moving….. laughing , dancing , singing, and using all the parts of the human anatomy as one body, and function as healthy balanced human being. We will learn what makes us enjoy the journey. It’s the Physical parts that need to take action showing faith and growth as we run or walk the good race of succeeding eternal life. They will be required to wear running shoes, bring water and sunscreen. And good listening skills . We will be learning about all types of fitness and how our bodies operate in the Physical and why ? We will learn about our body types, and what is healthy and we will learn how to listen to our heart rate as we train and work in our own levels of fitness and watch them grow to love fitness. I have been in the fitness industry since 1983 graduating with from Oklahoma University, Norman,Oklahoma, with a Bachelors of Arts, in Health and Physical Education,emphasis in Physical Therapy since 1984 to 1988.
