Hello! My name is Twila and I am a New Mexico native. Born and raised in Española, NM, I have recently moved to Albuquerque with my husband, Andres, who I just married in May of this year. I am a licensed Elementary teacher and hold my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, as well as a TESOL endorsement. For the past two years, I have taught Kindergarten at Pablo Roybal Elementary School in Pojoaque, NM. Prior to teaching Kindergarten, I worked for the EVHS Upward Bound Program at NNMC in Española as the Curriculum Coordinator, taught High School courses for the UB Summer Academy, tutored students for the UB After School Program, and worked directly with EVHS high school students, mentoring and advising them. During the same time, I also worked as the Adult Leader for Cafe Scientifique Española, organizing and facilitating monthly STEM events for local High School students, Read more while also mentoring Teen Leaders from EVHS, PVHS, and McCurdy Charter School. I also worked at Creation Station Daycare in Española, NM, as a Childcare Provider/Teacher for 2 years, working in both the nursery and with the toddlers, children ages 0-5. My husband is Active Duty Airforce and therefore, we may be re-stationed in a few months, so I am looking for childcare jobs that I can work in the meanwhile. I am a joyful, fun-loving, caring individual that enjoys working with children because they just are the coolest version of humans!
