Hello, my name is Rosie! I am a graduate of Cal Poly Pomona, with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood studies. I also have my associates from Mount Sac in Child Development. I love working with children. I have three little sisters who I have cared for since I was 10 years old. I gained much of my experience from taking care of them. I also developed a passion for teaching kids in the church ministry when I got older. Currently, I work full-time as a substitute teacher at an elementary school. I love working there! I assist all the lead teachers and oversee children's academic activities, playtime, and daily tasks. I am also a part of their learning experience, helping the children learn to navigate their day-to-day lives. I have learned a lot about children in my time in this role and overall it's been an enjoyable experience. I Read more love being an excellent role model for the kids I've taken care of and love teaching them in their most formative years. With my experience and my education, I am a professional caretaker. Rather than a babysitter/nanny, I am an early childhood educator. I have experience caring for infants to school-age children. I love to create fun and educational activities for the kids. I bring arts and crafts, and we can paint, draw, and color. If your child is more active, I could bring my tennis rackets and play with them, or we could play catch. If you allow for tech time (iPad, tv shows), I am also willing to play and learn games that are currently popular with children (Minecraft, Roblox, Tag with Ryan). I always make sure to supervise and, on most occasions, join in and play the game with the child. As a fluent Spanish speaker, I can also implement Spanish activities if that's something you'd be interested in. Additionally, I can also prepare meals for your child, taking special note of any food restrictions they might have. If there is something specific you'd like me to cook, feel free to let me know ahead of time and I can plan on it. I am also CPR certified, a non-smoker, and have a clean driving record. I would be more than willing to be your occasional sitter or a regular for a couple of hours a week. Feel free to send me a message and we can set something up!
