Hello! I’m Maya, and I have a genuine passion for working with children and creating a safe, positive environment where they can learn, laugh and thrive. I have several years of childcare experience, including two years as an instructor at a well known developmental gymnastics center, where I’ve worked with children of all ages to support their physical, social, and emotional development through play based learning. Before that, I spent multiple summers assisting with children’s events throughout my community, giving me experience with a wide variety of ages, personalities and individual needs. I am also a Developmental Psychology student at University at Albany, where I study how children grow, learn, and develop throughout each stage of life. My education allows me to better understand each child’s unique cognitive and developmental needs, helping me adapt my approach so every child feels supported, seen and encouraged! I also have 5 years of driving experience with a clean driving record and would be happy to provide transportation as needed!
