I recently moved to New Orleans and am looking for part time babysitting work. I'm a graduate of the Master of Arts in Media Studies program at The New School in New York City, where I worked with children's ranging in age from 2 to 13. My most recent experience within the past six months includes after-school babysitting for two different sets of elementary school aged children (a pair of boys and a pair of girls) in Brooklyn. Prior experience includes babysitting children aged 2-4 years for a professor/artist couple, and I formerly lived with a couple in Williamsburg with a toddler for whom I provided occasional babysitting. My favorite age group to work with is grade school aged children (5 to 10 years old) who are bright, creative, and curious by nature. I also love to draw, play board games, do crafts, and listen to music with children to help foster creative thinking. Taking the kids I watch on excursions to libraries, museums, and parks is another favorite activity. I speak Gujurati conversationally, and I have some familiarity with Spanish and Italian.
