Hi, I am retired but devoted my life to education and children grades PK-12th. I owned and operated a school for 11 years and it was ranked as an incredible example in our industry magazine. My mission statement was to teach life skills through athletics. I love kids and being with them in figuring out for themselves how to make the good choice and be true to themselves. I live just playing and celebrating them and their unique gifts, or discovering that. I have 2 Masters Degrees in education, one in counseling and one in teaching. I am not certified in either in that I pursued these to aid with my own children. I have a gifted child and a child with disabilities. I have a long history of working with kiddos on the Autism spectrum....somehow I am blessed to understand to give them time. Im available for sick care, Read more errands, date night, a set schedule or just a babysitter option. I can handle up to 5 children depending on ages and independent levels. I have reliable fully insured transportation and no tickets or infractions and have no accidents. I was blessed as a child to have incredible mentors and educators in my life and have been blessed to be this for so many children. It is a gift to spend time with them. I have open availability and sold my school 17 years ago for a generous profit and spend my time connecting with kids and helping families thrive. I am available for part time or occasional appointments. Education and children have been my life and I feel like I have won the lottery for getting the privilege to spend time with your children in almost every case. My goal is to follow your lead and match your parenting style and be a support. My other goal is to just be a fan of your family and support and cheer you on in every way you need or define. Howard Gardner is an educational theorist and he wrote a book about the 5 minds of the future. I truly believe we are all born with innate gifts and learning and developing those is a true honor to be a part of. I believe in pillars of good choices, integrity in all you do and always making sure you are proud of your choices, which especially includes being kind and understanding we are all unique. Im new to the area and hoping to volunteer at the Youth Center and make connections with great families.
