Hello! My name is Rachel, I’m 23 years old, and I grew up caring for my 6 younger siblings as a sort of “second mom” around our abusive father, while our mother was our sole financial provider, often spending long hours at work, sometimes 60-80+ per week. I have basically grown up my entire life caring for young kids, due to my childhood upbringing, however I also have between 6mo-1yr of experience as a nanny for an 8 month old boy and an 8 year old girl. I worked in my church’s nursery on a weekly basis for several months as well, and I’ve also worked about 6-7 months as an “on-site/live-in” camp counselor for kids and teenagers in my late teen years.
