This past December I graduated highscool early and turned 18. I will be going to college in the fall so right now im working as much as possible. I love taking care of kids because it feels so meaningful to me and they bring me so much joy. Ive taken care of many ages as I have many little cousins and I have also taken a childcare education class through my high school where we went to a daycare to get hours and it was so fun even without getting paid. During that time I got hands on experience in the childcare workplace. I have experience in changing diapers, making bottles (whether its frozen breastmilk or formula), feeding children of all ages and knowing the signs of choking, preventing accidents to the best of my ability, and it taught me how to deal with many tasks at once while keeping Read more children safe and in my sight. During the class at school I took we learned many things about the development of children, I also have my Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. It is a 10 hour course that teaches you how to create safe spaces, use safe practices with children, implement daily illness prevention and management strategies, and plan to keep children safe if an emergency were to occur.
