Hi! My name is Tia, and caring for children has been at the heart of my life and career for almost two decades. I’m a 37-year-old mom of an amazing 11-year-old, and I truly understand how important it is for parents to feel confident and comfortable with the person caring for their child. Why I love being a sitter: Children bring so much joy, energy, and curiosity into the world. I’ve spent 18 years working with children of all ages because I love helping them grow, learn, and discover their unique talents. Whether it’s reading a favorite story, helping with homework, or just listening and encouraging, I value creating a safe, positive environment where kids feel loved and supported. My experience: I began working with children in early care and education 18 years ago and have held a variety of roles, from classroom teacher to lead teacher, and for the Read more past three years I’ve been the Program Director at a local preschool in the DFW area. In that position, I manage daily operations, supervise and train staff, design developmentally appropriate curriculum, and partner closely with families to ensure each child thrives. I’ve worked with infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children, so I’m comfortable caring for children at every stage. My skills and training: I hold a degree in Early Care and Education and am currently pursuing my bachelor’s degree in Health Science with plans to continue on to a master’s in Occupational Therapy specializing in children. My background gives me a strong understanding of child development, safety practices, age-appropriate activities, and positive behavior guidance. I’m certified in CPR and First Aid, trained in classroom management, curriculum planning, and family communication. As a director, I’ve also trained teachers on handling challenging behaviors, supporting social-emotional skills, and maintaining a nurturing environment.
