Hi, my name is Vera. I am a professional caregiver looking for a new family (due to relocation). We might be a good fit together if you are looking for: Someone with years of experience. I have been working as a full-time nanny for over ten years. That experience means I know how to find the right balance with families — providing structure, routine and boundaries for kids so they (and their parents) can thrive while also creating an environment that is fun, spontaneous and loving. Ideally located in the Westport, Stamford, Greenwich Darien or Fairfield area. I am happy to care for multiple children and have specific experience with infants. I am also happy to cook meals for the children, arrange playdates and activities. Importantly, I am looking for a family that is interesting in building a relationship that is lasting. It is best to admit now that I am writing this with tears streaming down my face. I can not imagine these last six years of our lives without Vera in them. She has been more than a nanny, she is a co-mother to me. While I am devastated that she won’t be with us every day, I feel truly grateful that I met her all those years ago. Our family will be forever positively changed by her loving influence — I will be forever changed. She not only helped raise my babies into the respectful, kind fun kids that are today, she also helped me become a better mother to them. What a gift. Let me tell you some of the reasons she is so wonderful. First, she is like a modern-day, real world Mary Poppins. The kids have a routine and boundaries. She does it all so naturally, you don’t even know it is happening, but she provides structure and stability. And also fun! The kids love playing with her. Most of their time in our house is screen free. She takes them to playdates and the park. I never have to think twice about her going out with them. She is cool, calm and in charge. She just always has it figured out. I love that I never have to worry. Never have to second guess. Things just magically happen. Actually, that’s not true. I DID have to worry about other moms trying to steal our nanny (they tried!). But Vera is such a dedicated person, I actually didn’t even have to worry about that. I know with her my kids always come first. She loves them like I do. Which no amount of training or experience can account for — that’s just the kind of person she is. I recommend Vera without hesitation. I believe who you choose as a nanny is an incredibly important decision. If you are lucky enough to find the right person, it is magical. Some family in Connecticut is about to win the lottery.
