Hello! My name is Leila and I've worked as a nanny and household manager for over six years. I'm incredibly lucky to have been born as the youngest of five amazing kids and to have grown up in an incredibly wonderful and supportive family. I'm currently finishing up my degree in Child Psychology and I'm excited to use what I've learned during my studies in my career as a nanny. Along with the education I've obtained I believe the wonderful caregivers and mentors I've had in my life have helped me become a wonderful nanny. Currently I'm in my fifth year as a full-time nanny and I hope to have many more! I entered the field of childcare with a weekend role where I cared for a 4 year old and 6 week old. I took them to their weekend classes, helped the oldest with her literacy skills, helped introduce Read more solids to the youngest, and was able to create some wonderful memories with them. After that position I transitioned into a full time role with twin toddlers. I was incredibly lucky to spend four years working with them. In that role I helped the children with homework, helped tidy up after them, drove them to their lessons, and helped create a secure environment where they could truly thrive and be themselves. Most recently I've been working as a rotational Nanny/Family Assistant for a 16 year old and twin three year olds. As both a Nanny and Family Assistant I've worn multiple hats in the time I've worked for them. As a Nanny I've potty trained, played with the kiddos, planned many fun activities, and tutored the old in her various classes. As a Family Assistant I've managed vendors, handled family laundry, meal prepped, and more. I also traveled with them extensively and was on call 24/7 whenever traveling. While I'm always sad to leave my previous families I'm excited to see what role I get to fill in next. Like my biggest hero, Fred Rogers, I strive to positively influence all of the kiddos I have the privilege of working with. I make that happen by being a positive and patient caregiver in their life. My goal is to make sure they feel heard and supported everyday I'm with them.
