Hello! I am 25 years old and have been babysitting/nannying for various families for about 11 years. I have worked with children from as young as a month old up to about 12 years old. I have experience working with multiples, as well as two under two and three under two. I have an associate’s degree in human services from Washtenaw Community College and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Eastern Michigan University. I am planning on pursuing a master’s degree in social work as well, so I am only available for part-time jobs in order to continue my studies. Overall, I am creative, empathetic, and fun-loving. I have a strong understanding of child development, and I truly enjoy engaging with kids and facilitating fun activities. My additional previous experience includes: -Teaching ballet to 6-8 year olds at the Ann Arbor Ballet Theatre (C.A.S. Ballet Theatre School). -Internship at Sophie’s Place music therapy studio located at C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital within the Child Life department, where I worked alongside music therapists in supporting children of all ages and abilities. -Internship at Girl’s Group Ann Arbor, where I was a mentor to high school and middle school students within the Ann Arbor Public Schools and the Ypsilanti Community Schools. -Volunteering at Educate Youth Ypsilanti’s afterschool program, where I helped to support at-risk middle and high school students to ensure Educate Youth’s 100% high school graduation rate. -Working with Embracing Our Differences Michigan as a docent leading groups of K-12 students on field trips exploring art that represents multiple forms of intersectionality and diversity. -Starting the butterfly/rain garden at Thurston Elementary School in 2016 alongside two other individuals, with the intention of a learning opportunity about butterflies for elementary students.
