I have plenty of experience in caregiving. WhenI was in high school, during the summer time I worked as a camp councilor at the Adventure Zone Summer Reading Camp located in Fayetteville, NC. Through this position I assisted the head teacher and worked with students to improve their reading and math skills. When I went to college (Fayetteville State University) I began volunteering and completing work study at their childcare facility on campus (Early Childhood Learning Center). I worked with the students here from my freshman to junior years. Through this position I assisted the teachers, interacted with the students, helped prepare meals, and helped prepare the students for nap time. Also, I am an elementary education major. Each semester I go to a designated elementary school to observe and work with students. So far, I've been to Loucile Souders Elementary School, W.T. Brown Elementary School, Warrenwood Elementary School, College Read more Lakes Elementary, and Spring Lake Middle School. One final big babysitting experience I have is with my own children. I am a mother of two. I have a two year old daughter named Gabrielle, and an eight month old named Aubrey. I love my children so much and love spending time with them. They are one of the reasons that I decided to apply to be a caregiver and be a teacher in the future. I can't wait to work with your family! I also have experience with pets as well. I grew up with a german shepherd named Nemo. After he passed, my family adopted a dog from the pound and named him Buddy. Buddy was a Dotson. And now currently in my home we have a small chicuahaua named Olivia.
