Hi! My name is Sophia Tiscornia, and I’m 27 years old. I’ve been working with children for years, starting with babysitting in high school, and most recently as a full-time nanny for two boys from 2022 to 2024. I’m the youngest in my family, but I’ve always gravitated toward caregiving roles. I’ve also volunteered at libraries and Girl Scout troop meetings to stay connected to children and help them grow. In August 2024, I moved from San Diego, California, where I just finished my degree at San Diego State University. I graduated in May 2025 with my bachelor’s, and now that school is finished, I’m excited to return to nannying, a job I genuinely miss. As a nanny, I’m very hands-on. I love creating experiences and teaching important life lessons through play and everyday tasks. With my last nanny family, I made a daily to-do list for the kids and Read more myself, always including something fun and purposeful. I believe communication with parents is essential. I share daily updates, and when challenges come up, I help the kids talk through their feelings so we can work together on a solution. I always follow up with the parents so they know what happened and how we resolved it. I’m patient, understanding, easy-going, and firm in a respectful way. I believe kids are our future, and if I can help guide them to better understand and respect the world before they’re thrown into it, then I know I’m doing something meaningful.
