I have around 30 years of caretaking experience. I developed my skills, first as a nurse, then as a mother, and then as a nanny. I received my nursing license in Taiwan, and I am fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English. I took an active role in raising both my children, now in their 20's, to be bilingual, on top of excelling in their school curricula and extracurriculars. As a nanny, I work very closely with parents and families to understand what their goals and values are, while imparting my wisdom to create a happy, safe, and healthy environment. In general, my philosophy is to encourage children to maintain a lifestyle that is physically and mentally active. I also emphasize the importance of balanced nutrition in people's development. Jennifer is cheerful, energetic, and health-minded. She spent time getting to know us and learning how best she could help our family. In a few days with our twin 18 month olds they were excited to be around her. They enjoy playing and showing her things and in the process tire themselves out. She has helped with expanding the variety of foods they eat as well as to eat more nutritious proteins, healthy fats, and vegetables in every meal. She stimulates their language development by actively speaking with them often. We are happy that she chooses to speak to them primarily in Mandarin Chinese instead of English in every opportunity.

I can highly recommend Jennifer. She was excellent with our two boys (ages 5 and 2). She connected with them quickly and easily, and clearly has a deep concern and interest in children and their development. Her manner is gentle and loving, yet firm enough to make sure that things happen as they should. She was extremely reliable, on time, and followed our daily routine. Plus, she's very self-motivated and proactive, and came up with interesting and enjoyable activities for the boys. I would highly recommend Jennifer - she is caring, nurturing, knowledgeable, and efficient.

My sons (1-year old and 3-year old) enjoy Jennifer’s company very much. We call Jennifer for weekend Chinese enrichment and when my husband and I no longer have any sick time available, which is often with our 3-year old. She is attentive, interactive, kind, loving, and very very reliable. We always look forward to her babysitting and highly recommend her.
