I've always loved working with kids. I've always had that motherly instinct. I can't wait to have my own kids, and I love getting to work with kids to prepare me for motherhood. They heal my inner child. I started watching kids when I was young, under 9 years old. I'd watch my 3-year-old and 5-year-old cousins. Then after I was 13, I started working with actual families. When I was 14, I started nannying for a 3-year-old girl. I'd wake her up, put her to sleep, feed her, change her, bathe her, and do housekeeping. I'd get there at 6am and wake up all her siblings, ages 5, 7, 9, and 12, and get them ready for school. I'd watch them for over 15 hours at times, and I didn't get paid anything because I cared about her so much. I'd teach them the rules, plays, how to dribble, and how to shoot and help with their endurance. I'd be with them for 2+ hours after school 3 days a week unpaid. After I turned 18, I immediately signed up for Care.com and would take jobs; some were one-time things, others were multiple times. When I was 18, I got a job at a daycare where I cared for 2-month- to 6-year-olds. I worked there for close to a year.
