I am a mostly retired Registered Nurse and have worked in acute and chronic care for all of my career. I worked both as Psychiatric nurse and in Hemodialysis. In 2020 I traded clinical nursing for private-duty childcare and eldercare. Since then I've cared for the children of about 30 area families, all ages from preemie to 16 years old. I've also provided childcare at local resorts and wedding venues. I care for children both in families' homes or in my own home; both on a scheduled or per diem basis. I'm available all hours of the day and overnights as well. My favorite age group are toddlers. My home is right in the village of New Paltz, on a quiet cul-de-sac adjacent to the Empire State Rail Trail, and in easy walking distance to everything fun for children and babies to explore. I have no TV and no screen Read more time available for my charges. In addition to childcare, I have also cared for the elderly in their homes. I was born and raised in Austria where impeccable work ethics were instilled in me by my parents and teachers. Although I'm a senior, I'm in excellent physical shape, full of stamina, and I live mostly outdoors. I'm also exceedingly green and frugal and would rather give up my car than my bike. I have solo backpacked all over the world and locally, I try to never miss a single cultural or community event.
